The Town of New Hartford is committed to Fair Housing policy and practices.  Each year, during the month of April, the Board of Selectmen reaffirms their commitment to promote fair housing opportunities within New Hartford.  On April 20, 2010, the Board of Selectmen endorsed a Fair Housing Policy to ensure equal opportunity for all persons to rent, purchase and obtain financing for adequate housing of their choice on a non-discriminatory basis; and resolved that the First Selectman of the Town of New Hartford is responsible for responding to and assisting any person who alleges to be the victim of any illegal discriminatory housing practices in the Town of New Hartford.
