Notice is hereby given to all persons liable by law to pay property taxes to the Town of New Hartford, County of  Litchfield, State of Connecticut, that a tax of 30.276 mills on the dollar on the Grand List of October 1, 2016, laid by the Board of Finance on December 6, 2017, will become due and payable as follows:  2nd installment of Real Estate & Personal Property bills with an adjusted amount due as a result of the actual mill rate set, the first installment having been billed in July 2017 at last year’s mill rate, the Motor Vehicle bills, normally billed in July, and the Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax will all become due on January 1, 2018.  If not paid on or before February 1, 2018, the tax becomes delinquent and subject to interest of one and one half per cent per month from January 1st.  Any fractional part of a month is considered to be equivalent to a whole month.  MINIMUM INTEREST CHARGE IS $2.00.  Failure to receive a bill does not excuse the tax or subsequent interest accrued.  Checks may be mailed to the Tax Collector, Town of New Hartford, P.O. Box 402,  New Hartford, CT 06057-0402.  Payments may be made in person at Town Hall, 530 Main St., New Hartford.  Office hours are:  Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. To view and pay taxes online visit the Tax Collector’s page on our town web site at
