West Hill Pond to begin drawdown of water level after Labor Day - Remove boats and docks by September 10, 2017

-A A +A

As many are aware, West Hill Pond is in trouble.  During Last year's drought it was noticed that water continued to drain from the lake when the dam gate was closed.  This places properties at risk for flooding damage downstream and could impact the depth of the pond should the dam fail.

In an effort to begin repairs to the dam on West Hill Pond, water level will be reduced by 5 feet.  The drawdown will begin the week after Labor Day.  It is recommended that boats and docks be removed by September 10, 2017.

Donations are being requested to assist in the funding needed for engineering services as well as costs associated with the reconstruction of the dam. West Hill Pond Association is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Nonprofit Organization; therefore donations are tax deductible.  Donations by check can be mailed to West Hill Pond Association:
