Town Hall Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Wednesday
8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Friday
8:00 a.m. to 12:00 NOON

Please check with individual offices to see if they remain open duing the lunch period.
Appointments are encouraged if you wish to speak with a specific individual or need individual assistance

Please note that the Tax Office (Collector) opens at 9:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday

Offices may be closed on occasion for in-service training or due to inclement weather.  Although most offices remain open during lunch periods, there may be times when coverage is not available and therefore the office closes briefly.

Board of Education Offices are located on the 3rd floor of the Town Hall. They are open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The Town of New Hartford is a  Statutory Town, adhering to CT State Statutes.  The Legislative Body is the Town Meeting.  The governing body is the Board of Selectmen.  Residents are encouraged to attend meetings of the Board of Selectmen.

Board of Selectmen meetings:  Second and Fourth Tuesdays of the month.  Call (860) 379-3389 for specifics (time, location, agenda)
Town Meetings: Called as needed.
Town Meeting Moderator: Chosen at meeting.
